Bringing a wealth of municipal leadership experience and a pioneering vision for government technology, Madison AI welcomes Dr. Peter Pirnejad as a Strategic Advisor.

Dr. Pirnejad joins the team while continuing his leadership as Executive Director of the Davenport Institute for Public Engagement and Civic Leadership at Pepperdine University.

Dr. Pirnejad recently transitioned to academia after a distinguished 27-year career in public administration. Most recently, he served as the Town of Los Altos Hills city manager, where he gained recognition for implementing one of the first municipal AI use policies in the country. His career also includes city manager of the City of Foster City, assistant city manager of the City of Napa, and development services director of the City of Palo Alto.

A recognized advocate for GovTech innovation, Dr. Pirnejad previously served as a Senior Director at Oracle, where he focused on global public sector industry strategy. Having recently concluded his term as President of Cal-ICMA, Dr. Pirnejad also served as an Executive Board Member for the non-profit, CivStart, a driven startup dedicated to accelerating early-stage Gov-Tech companies that solve local government challenges.
