Madison AI brought Mark Wheeler onto the team in November 2025 as the Chief Public Data Officer. Wheeler is a respected voice in GovTech, having previously served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the City of Philadelphia and the Director of Data Analytics and AI at the Centers of Excellence within the federal Technology Transformation Services.

Wheeler brings years of experience in transforming complex data into tools that enable staff to innovate in the workplace. With his background, he will help the Madison AI team deepen its government data expertise and build AI that delivers excellent results for local government.

As the Chief Public Data Officer, Wheeler will oversee Madison AI’s strategic data management, data governance, compliance, performance improvements, and more. His experience will guide him and the team toward several successful roll-outs throughout the country.
